My name is Pouyan, which in my language, Farsi / Persian means “researcher”. I am a service and UX designer with around 5 years of experience working for startups, agencies, and large international organizations.
Currently, I work at HiQ Finland’s Design Innovation Studio (Dis). My role as a Service and UX Designer is to identify and understand the problem(s) and find a solution(s) that would exceed the user expectations and is aligned with business goals of our clients.
Previously, I have worked at N2 Nolla, where I was mainly focused on the product design of Igglo Rent for both Android and iOS platforms, and re-designing the website of the law attorney, Lexia.
I have done an internship at Fjord Helsinki as an interaction and service designer, and also Isobar Malaysia as a multimedia designer.
Additionally, I have a background in editorial design for various newspapers and magazines in the middle east region.
I hold a Master of Arts in New Media Design and Production with a minor in Dynamic Visualization from Media Lab Helsinki, Aalto University.
My Master’s thesis Design Principles for Mobile Soundwalk Applications has brought attention to the design scene and also to the City of Helsinki where I was interviewed as a future maker of Helsinki.
And also, a Bachelor of Multimedia in Digital Media (Honors) from Faculty of Creative Multimedia, Multimedia University.
My passion for traveling and photography has taken me all around my home country, Iran. Where I got the privilege to document the rich and diverse ethnicity of Iranians.
As for my hobbies, I record sounds, take pictures, and make videos. I enjoy to cook and wash the dishes, play basketball and go for walks to Nuuksio among other activities.
